Spicy Buckwheat and Brown Rice Bowl

Ingredients:


  • 200g of Buckwheat
  • 150g of Brown Rice
  • 1 tsp of Sea Salt
  • 1 inch of Ginger (grated)
  • 2 Green Chillies (chopped)
  • 1 Onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup of Coffee (for serving)
  • 1 cup of Tea (for serving)

Kitchen Tools Needed:


  • Pressure Cooker

Instructions:


  • Rinse the buckwheat and brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In the pressure cooker, add the rinsed buckwheat and brown rice along with 4 cups of water and the sea salt.
  • Add the grated ginger and chopped green chillies to the mixture for flavor.
  • Seal the pressure cooker and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Once done, release the pressure carefully and open the lid.
  • Stir the cooked grains and add sliced onions on top while still warm for a slight crunch.
  • Serve the buckwheat and brown rice bowl hot, accompanied by coffee and tea.
