Ingredients:


  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of chai tea leaves (or one chai tea bag)

Instructions:


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line the muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves.
  • In another bowl, mix together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, vanilla extract, and steeped chai tea (if using tea leaves, ensure they are strained).
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  • Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the muffins cool for a few minutes in the tin before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
