Cheesy Gouda Potato Bake

Ingredients:


  • 500g of potatoes
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 200g of Gouda cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 medium onion

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Air Fryer
  • Stove Top

Instructions:


  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  • Peel and cube the potatoes and boil them in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • While the potatoes are boiling, chop the onion finely and sauté it in a pan with a bit of oil until golden brown.
  • Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot. Mash the potatoes until smooth, then stir in the baking powder, sautéed onion, and beaten eggs until well combined.
  • Grate the Gouda cheese and fold half of it into the potato mixture, reserving the other half for topping.
  • Transfer the potato mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining gouda cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
  • If you want an extra crispy top, transfer the dish to the air fryer for an additional 5 minutes.
